I've just finished reading this book, and for anyone interested in matters of female sexuality, I heartily recommend it. It explores the work of sexologists such as Meredith Chivers and Marta Maena, plus it includes a great deal of anecdotal stories from women talking about their sexual lives and sexual fantasies. In each chapter Berger presents a societal myth about female sexuality, and then takes a wrecking ball to it.
This isn't a pop-psychology book, it's a serious work, well written and deeply researched, but it's written in a very readable and entertaining way. I think it's explosively good, and the message it contains is one that is ultimately liberating for both sexes.
